Introduction |
Products for Wood
We have received so many personal notes from customers over the past few years regarding their care and treatment of wood using Obenauf's that we decided we'd better put a little R&D into it and see what our extraordinary oil really does for fine wood furniture. It turns out, the Obenauf's mix has some extraordinary restorative and protective properties for wood furniture, just like it does for leather!
Obenauf's all natural ingredients make it an ideal product to preserve, revitalize, and extend the life of your finest wood furniture. Obenauf's Leather Oil will absorb quickly into dry wood naturally rejuvenating it and restoring a glow and luster that will delight you. Tables, chairs, buffets, and other items can be treated easily using Obenauf's Oil through a simple application process that we recommend on a regular basis.
Obenauf's is also great on doors, panels, and even on kitchen items, since it's non-toxic and natural. Use it on steak and carving knife handles and other household wooden items that you want to preserve and protect for years to come.
All natural wood surfaces respond well to the treatment. Do not apply to artificial laminates or sealed and laquered furniture as it will prevent the oil from penetrating. We always recommend testing first to ensure that you are pleased with the results. Simply select an inconspicuous area and apply a small amount, rub it in, wipe off the excess, and let dry for an hour. Then proceed with treating the entire piece with Obenauf's Oil, allowing it to soak in.
Many customers inquire about using Obenauf's for unique purposes such as restoring antique furniture pieces. This is an excellent application of the oil since it provides maximum protection against degradation by sunlight, heat, dryness, and chemicals.
